The Infrastructure & Operations Community is a new sitic community with focus on operations aspects of IT. It addresses Data Center Managers, Environmental and Green IT officers as logistics managers.

Responsible for the coordination of this Community is Luca Previtali.

 

The community is supported by Dr. Bernard Aebischer of the Centre for Energy Policy & Economics (CEPE) of ETH Zurich. Bernard’s research deals with questions around energy demand and rational use of energy – particularly in the service sector and related to the application of information and communication technologies. On behalf of the Federal Office of Energy he is leading since 1994 the Competence Centre “Energy and Information Technology”. „Energy- and Ecoefficiency in Data Centres“ is an other focus of his research.
